Information about your spa stay and balneotherapy treatments
Dear guests
Balneotherapy treatments are subsidised by the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund (NEAK) and, subject to certain conditions, can be accessed at reduced rates.
Guests from outside Hungary may also be eligible for discounts. Please check with your health insurance provider.
Health retreat overview
In accordance with Regulation 56/2003 (IX. 19.) ESZCSM, the following rules apply:
- A health retreat comprises up to four different therapeutic treatments
- A maximum of 15 treatments per retreat are permitted
- Patients with a valid Hungarian TAJ number can use the treatment twice a year with NEAK support
How to obtain your medical prescription
Free consultation: Make an appointment with Dr Éva Bajzik (specialist in musculoskeletal rehabilitation) on +36 68 512-262. A referral from your GP is not required.
Procedure: Dr Bajzik will carry out a thorough examination and, if necessary, arrange for further diagnostic tests. You will then receive all the necessary documents (prescription, treatment plan) and can start therapy straight away.
For patients outside Orosháza
If you do not live in the local area, you will need a referral from your GP to a rheumatologist or specialist in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. They will issue the necessary documents – please ensure it is noted that the treatments are to take place in Gyopárosfürdő.

Without a prescription
You can also make full use of some services (e.g. mud treatments, therapeutic massages, Tangentor, group therapeutic water exercises) price. Weight baths and carbonated baths are only available on medical recommendation.
Important information:
- Treatments must be started within 28 days and completed within 8 weeks
- Unused treatments expire, unless there is a proven change in health (in which case a new prescription is required)
- You can find out your appointment times one week in advance. Please cancel appointments at least two days in advance
- Bathing in the spa and swimming pool is only possible with a prescription (Code 01) and after payment of the excess
