Aqua aerobics for seniors

Gymnastics for seniors is a form of exercise specifically recommended for older adults, aimed, amongst other things, at improving overall physical fitness. This is achieved by strengthening muscles and improving joint mobility during training.

We also improve our balance and coordination, which has a positive effect on our nervous system. Regular exercise helps prevent injuries and reduces the risk of chronic conditions. A targeted exercise programme can also help alleviate age-related conditions such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular problems or musculoskeletal issues. Furthermore, exercise for seniors keeps participants mentally sharp, improves mood and well-being, and reduces anxiety and stress.

The exercises take place in therapeutic water, whose numerous beneficial effects we can utilise whilst exercising. During the exercises, we make use of the additional resistance provided by the water, making the movements more intense than on land. Training in water also supports the joints, which are relieved of pressure during the exercises, so that movements that would be difficult or less effective to perform on land can be carried out pain-free and without discomfort. It also plays a role in building muscle strength, as the resistance of the water supports muscle strength without overloading the joints, which is particularly useful in rehabilitation. Exercises in the water also improve breathing technique, as the combination of movement and breathing can increase lung capacity.

Vagus Nerve Therapy

Everyday stress and our hectic lifestyle have a negative impact on our body’s functions. If you are exposed to increasing levels of stress day after day, often get upset over everyday problems, suffer from poor sleep quality, have digestive issues, are frequently ill and your immune system is weakened, then you may benefit from vagus nerve therapy.

Vagus nerve therapy is a specialised method performed by hand or using a device, aimed at restoring balance to the nervous system. The vagus nerve is directly connected to our brain and digestive system, so a dysfunction can lead to numerous health problems. By stimulating it, the associated organs can be effectively treated.

Who is vagus nerve therapy suitable for?

  • People under constant stress
  • People with sleep disorders
  • Those with digestive problems
  • People with hormonal problems
  • When there is no organic cause for infertility
  • For diagnosed stress-related heart complaints
  • In cases of severely deteriorated health
  • In cases of a weakened immune system and frequent illnesses
  • To support recovery after surgery
  • As a complementary therapy for chronic, incurable musculoskeletal complaints

Treatment of the 10th cranial nerve should be carried out as a course of treatment. Once a week over a period of 5 weeks. The treatment is carried out by a qualified therapist, who will also teach you self-treatment techniques and recommend lifestyle changes during your first appointment. After the 5 weeks have elapsed, it is recommended to undergo a repeat treatment once a month

Massages

Duration of treatment: 20 minutes. Massage is one of the oldest and most widely used therapeutic methods for treating various musculoskeletal conditions, as well as for alleviating the effects of a physically demanding, stressful and sedentary lifestyle. During the treatment, qualified therapeutic masseurs focus on the affected or problematic parts or regions of the body in accordance with the doctor’s instructions. Using specific techniques on the body’s surface, tense, cramped muscles are loosened, thereby stimulating blood circulation and metabolism in the affected area. Pain and fatigue are alleviated, mental well-being improves, and concentration can also be enhanced. Furthermore, massage helps to maintain the skin’s youthfulness and elasticity, and is an ideal complement to detoxification treatments.

Sports massage

Treatment duration: 25 minutes. During a sports massage, our specialists use firmer rubbing, kneading and tapping techniques. The treatment is administered before sporting activities to loosen tense, cramped, stiff and shortened muscles, increase their flexibility and resilience, and thereby reduce the risk of injury. After sporting activities, the primary aim is to promote the fastest possible recovery and restore muscle tone.

The sports massage is recommended for both men and women.

Baby-Mum Gymnastics

Our Mum and Baby Gymnastics is designed for mums whose babies are over 3 months old but under 1 year old. The class focuses on strengthening the back muscles to improve posture, as well as moving and strengthening the larger muscle groups (muscles of the upper and lower limbs).

The exercises are performed in various positions, and we never leave our babies alone, but do the exercises together with them.

Benefits:

  • They help us correct the poor posture caused by breastfeeding
  • By strengthening our arms, we can hold our child more easily
  • Recovery after childbirth can be accelerated
  • Whilst the mother recovers and regains her strength, the activity also benefits our baby, as it promotes the development of the nervous system’s sensory perception. The exercises strengthen the mother-child bond.

The exercises are led by a physiotherapist specialising in postnatal rehabilitation.
The group exercise sessions take place in small groups of no more than 5 people to ensure safety and supervision.

Each session lasts 45 minutes.

You must book an appointment in advance!

Gymnastics for pregnant women

Gymnastics for pregnant women are recommended for all expectant mothers who are past the 12th week of pregnancy and wish to exercise in a safe environment. The classes focus on strengthening the muscles that are under strain during pregnancy and improving joint mobility.

Regular physical activity is very important during pregnancy:

  • Reduces the risk of developing gestational diabetes
  • Helps with easier and faster recovery after childbirth
  • Improves blood circulation, thereby reducing the risk of thrombosis and also improving blood flow to the foetus
  • Group exercise has a positive impact on social factors
  • Relieves back pain and discomfort caused by changes in posture during pregnancy

During the classes, we place great emphasis on breathing exercises and exercises to promote blood circulation.

In addition:

  • We strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and prepare the structures around the pelvis for childbirth
  • We strengthen the muscles of the lower limbs
  • We mobilise the hip joint and prepare it for childbirth
  • We mobilise the shoulder joint and strengthen the muscles of the upper limbs
  • We also focus on developing the back muscles

These exercises help make the tasks following childbirth easier to manage, aid the body’s recovery and promote a greater sense of well-being.

The class takes place in groups of no more than 5 people and lasts 45 minutes.

The classes are led by a physiotherapist specialising in healthy exercise for pregnant women.

In all cases, a prior appointment is required!
